The Tump administration has issued an emergency order to ground all Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft.  Two Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft have crashed in the last six months prompting China, the EU, Australia, India, and Canada to ground all Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft.  With much of the world taking action, the U.S. decided to follow suit.
This has serious implications for Boeing and the U.S. economy.  Boeing is one of the two dominant players in the aviation industry along with the EU’s Airbus.  According to Boeing, the 737 Max was its fastest selling aircraft with more than 5,000 orders worldwide for the $120 million dollar aircraft.
The 737 Max is manufactured in Chicago, but the company recently decided to locate its global services headquarters in Plano, Texas.  It is unclear what effect this will have for fellow Texans.
This was a responsible move by the Trump administration.  The world took action and we followed.  Boeing needs to figure out the problem and fast.  If it doesn’t, Texans will suffer the consequences.
